Awesome Guide and Fishing
I met with Francesco at our hotel - the Hotel River and we drove the country side to the Tieve River. This river is full of fish. From the moment we got on the river we were on fish and it was all day long. We almost didn't stop for lunch the fishing was so good. But we did. We went to a local restaurant had a great lunch and headed back to an afternoon of great fishing. The river is tight and the casting has to be precise - kind of reminded me of my roots fishing the brook behind my home. Francesco knows every hole in this river and where the fish are. The second day of fishing was better than the first - I bet we caught 30 fish between us. I say between us because I asked Francesco to bring his gear so that I could see how he fishes and casts on this river. It is a tight river and role casting is pretty much a given and I needed to see how it was done he right way. Francesco was a master with several different techniques to get the fly where it needed it to be to catch 18 inch brook trout all day long. There were the 8 inch but there was always that larger fish which you were able to hunt all day long. I can't say enough about the two days I spent with Francesco fishing this river. I truly enjoyed it.

Amazing Day on the Water
This my first time hiring a guide for trout, but what a fantastic start. Stefano was prompt picking me up. We had great food for breakfast and lunch. The fishing was superb. I took a risk hiring a guide for the end of February but the conditions were ideal. I had two amazing browns before 10:00 and kept catching trout and grayling throughout the day. I even managed a few on dry flies. I would have never thought fly-fishing in Italy could be this good.

Outstanding Experience! Personal best fish
My son (15 years old) are experienced fly fishers and just had the most amazing two day trip in Tuscany. Our guide was Francesco, and he was top notch. He took us to some beautiful spots and we found some amazing fish. My son caught some nice brown trout, and I caught my personal best. We are native English speakers, and we had zero problems communicating with Francesco. He made us feel very welcome in Italy. I would recommend this group to anyone looking for great fishing, great people, and beautiful countryside.
