Finland

Discover the Finnish Lakeland and our private Lodge
Finland
Finland is known all over the world as the “Land of thousand lakes”, and the main concentration of these lakes is in the heart of Finland, the central region also called the Finnish Lakeland.
The infinite panorama of blue lakes, numerous islands, fast rapids, pine forests and sandy bays create a unique natural aquatic reserve and bio-system which offers endless opportunities for fly fishing, exploring nature, practicing water sports, animal observation and outdoor activities.
Finland
The main species to be found in all lakes are pikeperch and zander often of a trophy size.
Brown trout and landlocked salmon are usually found on the open water in bigger lakes , and lots of brown trout on the rapids, which are natural water routes interconnecting the major lakes.
Central Finland offers well-organized spots for fast rapids fishing for brown troutrainbow trout and grayling. Excellent opportunities for stream fishing in fast-flowing waters are usually secured with limited number of permits giving enough space for each angler.
All over the country territory you will find thousands of well-equipped areas for rest and a making a picnic with a beautiful scenery and a vast map of natural trails for hiking and trekking.
The best period for fly fishing is the end of May, June and beginning of July.
